INFO

In the words of the Steve Miller Band ... "I'm a ..." ... Singer - Songwriter - Musician - Actor - Writer - Director - Dancer - Choreographer.  It may not rhyme like SMB's song "The Joker", but then again, I'm not joking.  I really AM all these things.  I have 36 film projects under my belt, 28 theatricals, 7 TV commercials and 100+ singing performances of both covers and my original work. I play guitar, piano and drums.company and your services.

I have performed on stage at all of the nearby universities --- NDSU, MSUM and Concordia, as well with as the FM Opera.  My first big gig, though, was working with a Pasadena songwriter, Randy Hale, with the Fergus Falls Center for the Art’s tour of Randy’s original stage play entitled, “Songs from the Tall Grass”.  We performed around the upper-midwest tri-state area – Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.  On stage, I have performed the gamut of roles and productions, including as Laurie in Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs, Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians for Kids and Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr. (I had very, very, very long hair then!).

Film actually came into my life as an extension of my theatre work. I never had enough on-stage work, so film became a sort-of substitute.  Becoming a filmmaker happened because I simply had ideas I wanted to put on film.  Since I have a mom and dad who will do anything they can to help me be a better “person” (which includes all of my artistic and athletic interests), it wasn’t as hard for me to create a film as it might be for someone without such a strong support team behind them.  My 5 short films have received 42 film festival selections, with my 2011 and 2012 shorts each winning Best Film in their category in 2012.

I think I enjoy most making people laugh … because I like to laugh.  But I also like making them "think", because knowing how to think is very important.  That's what's really cool about being a "performer" … you can touch people on so many different levels.

Since I am still in the very early stages of “teenager-ness” (is that a word?), it's so too soon to know exactly where I will find myself by the time I'm 18 … or what I’ll be doing -- maybe everything! -- which is why I work hard in school.  So ... sit back ... relax ... then jump up and do what you can when you can … but do enjoy the ride!
